Our association was established in 19 March 1946. The name of our organization is "Tai Chung City Commercial Association". In 26 July 1972, the Law of Commercial Organization has been announced and implemented. We have been renamed as "Tai Chung City Commerce Association".

Our association was formed by 130 board of trade and other companies without board of trade, and received the registration certificate from government. It has membership system. The association is called group member. The company is called non-group member. Our association consists of board with twenty-one persons and board of supervision with seven persons. Besides, the candidates for board and board of supervision are 1/3 of the planned numbers. The board consists of seven managing directors and one of them is the president. The board of supervision consists of a supervisor. The term of office is 3 years.

The objectives of our association include populating domestic and international trade, promoting the development of economy, coordinating the relationship of the same trade and promoting the common interests. The extended services include domestic and international business survey, research, development, trade connection, popularization, business seminar of the same trade, commercial exhibition and identification, holding charity activity, providing commission services for organization, etc. The regular business is to protect the rights and interests of the members.

In order to make the development of affairs perfect and active, our association enlists professional from all domain. They establish 25 committees, which include consultation, commercial mediation, fund management, regulation research, sports, development of affairs, information technology, market conditions, international exchange, training, relationship activity. association activity, mainland affairs, finance, research and development, foreign investment, risk management, charity image building, news announcement, editing, public affairs, promotion of going public and entering the market, production area certification, commercial circles development, tourist promotion, etc.

The president currently in office (the 24th) is Shan Xia, Lin . He operates the business of office furniture, security system of banking, and involves business in finance. He operates business over 35 years and is famous entrepreneur in central Taiwan. Under the leadership of President Lin, the association acts as the bridge of communication between the marketplace and government. The thoughts of all trade are fully expressed. It also actively utilizes the resources from government to assist marketplace to break through the bottleneck of business and urges the government to pay attention to the rights of marketplace. Furthermore, it also plays important role to promote the harmonious and coordination between the members. The exchange among the members is promoted. It benefits very great in cooperation across the trade and driving the business opportunity.

This year (2006) is the 60th anniversary of this association. With the effort of commercial predecessors, they establish firm foundation of this association. The presidents over the years have operated attentively and established good demeanor in marketplace. It is believed that the whole members give play of the team spirit and develop the creative spirit. We can create new milestone and bring new opportunity to the marketplace.
